Karen Seath-Smith RMT, CPT, CHN, CSNC, CNWS

Karen has been a successful Registered Massage Therapist since 2004; her work incorporates techniques to help clients attain balance and well being. While each treatment is focused to specifically address the issues of the individual at hand, Karen uses a variety of massage therapy techniques that include deep tissue, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, and trigger point therapy in order to achieve maximal potential in recovery and relaxation. Because she believes it is important for everyone to be active in their own rehabilitation, Karen is eager to work with his clients in order to motivate them and helps provide tools such as stretching, strengthening and hydrotherapy in order to encourage optimal health. Overall, Karen believes that massage therapy is an excellent way to maintain optimal health and balance and she is truly enthusiastic about her work. In addition, as a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, a Certified Sports Nutrition Consultant and a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Specialist she has always been drawn to helping people in a therapeutic capacity. As a natural competitive athlete with a keen interest in health and wellness, Karen has been a fitness enthusiast for nearly her entire life. She is also a fitness model and figure competitor. Her journey to become a fitness competitor has shown her what she is made of. While preparing to compete she has accomplished things she did not even think she was capable of doing. Karen has a passion for helping her clients move forward in attaining their physical and personal goals. Karen believes in a balanced lifestyle and she gets a personal satisfaction out of helping someone make a positive change in their life. When not working she may be found training hard for fitness competitions, or outside trail running, cycling, and roller-blading, Karen also enjoys water-skiing, playing competitive ball hockey, ice hockey, and ringette. Karen is dedicated to personal wellness. She is enthusiastic about teaching others the health benefits of exercise and how to integrate it into one's life."Play hard, relax relentlessly" are her words to live by. Alex Van Vaerenberg RMT

Alex is a RMT who graduated from the massage therapy program at Algonquin College. He is a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist who specializes in sports injuries, deep tissue massage, joint mobilizations, myofascial work and trigger point therapy. Alex believes in a holistic approach centered around client education coupled with massage treatment and remedial exercise to effectively correct postural imbalances that cause pain in the body. Alex has played many sports throughout his whole life competing at the provincial and national level in football, soccer, badminton and track and field. Having suffered many injuries throughout his career, and one surgery, Alex is adept at knowing mechanisms of injury and the recovery process. He enjoys helping people get through the hardship of the recovery process. Alex helps his clients achieve their wellness and lifestyle goals by using a client centered approach, working with the client to change everyday postural habits and promote a healthier lifestyle to ensure long term relief of the clients' complaints.

Lianne Therrien RMT

Lianne obtained her diploma from Algonquin College in the Massage Therapy program and has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2013. She specializes in therapeutic massage, relaxation massage, lymph drainage, scar tissue treatment and myofascial release. Lianne has been trained in Dynamic tape since 2015. Dynamic tape is an athletic tape that can be used to decrease muscle pain, bruising, correct posture and or support injuries. Lianne has extended experience working with stroke patients, athletes, children, clients with mental health issues, prenatal and post partum mom's and cancer survivors. She believes that at all stages of life, health and wellness is a priority. By using her years of education and experience she can help you create the best and safest treatment plan to help you obtain a healthy lifestyle.

Vanessa Guppy RMT

Vanessa Guppy is a registered massage therapist in good standing with the CMTO who graduated in 2015 with an Advanced diploma. She has gained a variety of clinical experiences while in the Massage therapy program at Algonquin college in preparation for work in the field. She has an abundance of knowledge to work with a broad cliental with various impairments both physically and psychologically to meet client centered goals for care and restore functional limitations her clients may be experiencing. Vanessa believes in client education and encouragement on a whole scale level to treat the present impairments and prevent future impairments from arising or worsening. Vanessa believes in the power of fitness and nutrition to keep our bodies strong and resilient when it tries to challenge us, and things go south. Vanessa has a holistic approach that embodies the peace she portrays through her massage therapy. Vanessa is an energetic, compassionate RMT with a holistic approach who uses active listening techniques throughout the interview process to understand what the client is looking to achieve through massage therapy. It is imperative to ensure client centered care is at the base of all treatment plans. She is able to differentiate, rehabilitate and alleviate pain while identifying aggressors of the impairments and create treatment plans accordingly. She believes in integrity, professional ethics and future opportunity for the massage therapy profession.
